Old Wenger Knife of 1935

This is a old Wenger Knife with brown fiber scales and with the rivets visible.
Wenger changed from brown fiber to red plastic handles on their standard models some time in the mid 1930s and also changed the screwdriver/bottle opener about that time.
So this knife is from 1935 onwards.
It was in a bad condition because it has some type of glue in the front scale and a lot of dirt inside the dividers. It took me a few hours to restore it, but it worth the time that i spent.

Victorinox Horn Handles Knives

I always like the horn handles (scales) in a Swiss knive.
So through the years i manage to collect some of them.
I only have three Swiss knives with horn handles.
A Swisschamp with a old magnifying glass, a old Spartan of 1943 and a old 74mm Cavalier variation.
(They are not available for sell)

Swiss Bayonet Model 1918

Here is a M1918 bayonet with the sheath and the leather frog.
The Model 1918 has a double-edged blade and lacks a fuller. The Swiss Model 1918 Bayonet is the original issue bayonet for Swiss Armed Forces that was included with each K11 or K31 rifle from 1933 until 1958.
This bayonet is in unissued condition and unserialized, the blade is stamped “ELSENER SCHWYS VICTORIA”. The serial number was applied only when the bayonet was paired with a rifle.
This bayonet was made by Elsener between 1950–1955, after "Victoria" was added to the ricasso marking and before Elsener began producing the M1918/55 variant that combined the M1914 hilt with the M1918 blade.

Victorinox Passenger

The Passenger is a Victorinox 91mm 3-layer model, that will appeal to the minimalist looking for the Magnifying Glass or Inline Phillips tool. This knife is the predecessor of the modern Explorer which adds a scissors.
Victorinox reported (2010.01.29) that the exact date of production cannot be determined for this model. They speculate that it was probably available prior to 1992 as a 'special production'.However; empirical information shows that this tool configuration was available much earlier.
In addition a sample was uncovered that shows this model goes back at least as far as the very early nineteen seventies, and for a while used the official model number of (1 57 03 / 1.5703) which happens to also be the model number used for the early Explorer models.

Victorinox Scientist and Yeoman

The Scientist is 2 layer Victorinox model that includes the combo opener tool as well as the magnifying glass. This model is highly prized by collectors; even though it is not particularly old, it was not produced in large numbers and is fairly rare.
The Victorinox Yeoman is a 3-layer 91mm knife with a very useful set of tools. The knife is similar to the Explorer, providing the same basic functionality in a smaller 3-layer model. This model is very popular with collectors.

Master Gardener and Master Electrician

The Master Gardener is a 91mm Swiss Army Knife made exclusively for the Smoky Mountain Knife Works by Victorinox. It combines an unusual set of tools not commonly found in Victorinox models. As the name implies, its design is aligned with the tools a gardener might need. This makes this one of very few Victorinox Swiss Army Knives (along with Master Electrician) that contain both an in-line Philips and a back-side Philips head screwdriver.
The Victorinox Master Electrician is also a 91mm knife made exclusively for the Smoky Mountain Knife Works. As its name implies, its design is aligned with tools an electrician might need, the unusual set of tools is not commonly found on other models. It is one of very few models to place the Fine Screwdriver behind the opener layer in the position that the reamer would normally occupy.
This model is easily identified by its bright Canary yellow scales which are uncommon on a 91mm knife model.

Victorinox Time Keeper and Super Timer

The Victorinox Time Keeper is an discontinued and moderately rare 91mm Victorinox knife. This is probably the first attempt of Victorinox to incorporate a electronic device into a knife. It almost like the model Compact exept that the tweezers has been replace with a analog watch. In the earlier models the clock face had Roman numerals, later models had Arabic numerals. It was introduced in early 1992 and it was discontinued in 2007.
The Victorinox Super Timer is a SwissChamp model that also includes an analog watch in the scales rather than the tweezers. The Super Timer was also available with an SOS Kit packaging and is a fairly rare version. I was lucky enough that i found two of the last models in Greece, thanks to Gianni Tsimpogo of Greek distributor of Victorinox.

It offers 80 functions in a standard 91mm knife that is 64.6mm in width. The knife consists of 118 individual pieces and a skilled craftsman assembles each knife by hand.
You can see the difference in width compared to my regular SwissChamp who i have for EDC.

Timothy L. Meeker the best seller for SAK's !

This time i will not present some SAK of my collection, but i will do something much better.
I will write about  very good person who is using his (and our) love for Swiss Army Knives to help people saving the life of their animal.
Timothy Meeker is a kind of seller that you will never find elsewhere. He is always happy to help you buy a Swiss knife, with good prices whenever he can. And  if  for any reason you don't like the knife, he always accept returns.
But most important from all is that with every knife he sells, he is helping people who they can't send their very sick kittens to the veterinarian. Especially people with disabilities or seniors.
This post is for you Tim. Be well.

(If you like to see Tim's shop just click to the last link in my Swiss Army Knives Websites list)

This knife was introduced in 2010 by Switzerland Cheese Marketing AG. This model introduces a new tool to the Swiss Army Knife, the Cheese Blade. The knife is manufactured by Victorinox on their 111mm frame using their earlier slide-lock system for a locking regular main blade, which is partially serrated starting at the tip like the One Hand blades on the liner-lock series. The regular blade has etching on both sides, the reverse side as advertising"switzerland-cheese.com" and the obverse has the model name etched in 4 languages. The knife was delivered with some unique custom packaging that included a booklet on Swiss cheese.
